A unique system of pin tumblers provides the highest possible level of security. Technology and high-quality materials (steel, bronze) increase the resistance of the cylinder to drilling and other attempts to force the lock. There are ten pins in the cylinder which respond to the corresponding recesses or dimples on the key. As a result, key protection is very high. The door can only be unlocked if the recesses/dimples correspond to pins to within one hundredth of a millimetre.The recesses/dimples on the key are identical on both sides, which means that the key can be inserted into the lock either way round (the reversible key principle). An armoured collar made from specialty steel can be ordered as an additional means of protection against breakage or forced removal of the cylinder.
